Is our Govevernment doing enough for our Brave men and Women who are returning maimed and emotionally dammaged from the Mideast?

But after 8 years of small budget increases and inattention during the 90's.
The VA is now getting the funding they need.
VA Budget in 1993 36 billion
VA Budget in 2001 47 billion
VA Budget today in 2007 88 Billion.
Thats a 30% increase over 8 years from 93 to 01
And a 87% increase in the last 6 years.

No they are not, and i know allot of Friends personally who are good examples, and if you dig a little deeper into research on this, there are quite a few veterans who are homeless, and and cannot afford to pay for medical expenses relating to any combat or service related injuries and stress, its an ongoing problem and i believe the government comes up with excuses as to why they don't provide them with what is needed so they can continue to fill the pockets of greedy politicians, congressman, and of course unnecessary government spending.

They should be taken care of by the government till:
A) They are healed (both physically and mentally).
or
B) They attain private insurance that covers the expenses.
AND
C) Any expense the private insurance doesn't cover should be picked up by the government, until such time as all (mental and physical) injuries received due to service have healed.

To answer your question;
As a Vet I have had no problems with the VA system. What boggles my mind is that people like to bash the VA for what they perceive is a problem with government run health care. Then turn around and want the same government to run the rest of the country's health care. Paradox.
