Someone answers with a religious quote. Is this not the epitomy of the word PREDATOR? They find the weakened in the pack and move in for the easy kill. What do god and psychology have in common?

The motivation is different. These people think that they are actually helping so even if it doesn't at least their motivation is good. A predator has no intention to help, only hurt.

Its only fitting that I use a religious quote as a corollary, for all those who think that they are helping: The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Religion and psychology can go hand in hand; however, if the person is not religious then they do not. Don't criticize someone for being religious and saying something about god to someone. That is the epitomy of CENSORSHIP. You are free to question religious quotes, so they are free to write them.

A quote - religious or otherwise - is posted to assist the questioner in understanding the problem and dealing with it positively and hopefully, to realize that like everything else, the problem will pass and they can go on with the business of living.

Predators aren't concerned with helping anyone in any way. They are not nice people and they do not mean well.

Perhaps I can answer this question for you, as I am a born-again Christian.

I do not insert religion or God into my answers...they are a part of my reality. To leave them out would be WRONG to me.

Now, Christians are called to be "salt" in the world...but that doesn't mean I have to dump the WHOLE SHAKER on people either.

Sorry you've had bad experiences.

I wouldn't dismiss religious quotes in such a way.

They do have their place - but alongside all the other perspectives.
