I'm plain, I love cheese and tomato. That's my favorite. Sometimes I like it toasted and sometimes not. Sometimes when not toasted I'd skip the cheese and add lettuce and cucumber. I always like mayo with lettuce on a sandwich.
But there you have the basic idea.

I like to take italian bread and make a batter of eggs, garlic and parmesan cheese and dip one side of the bread in it then grill it on a griddle and put muenster cheese and turkey breast and bell pepper and tomato and red onion on it and grill it till it is golden brown and serve it with peppercorn ranch! MMMM MMMM MMMM! This sandwich rocks!

Oh gosh - it depends. Something sweet, like a marshmallow fluff and nutella sandwich, or something more 'lunchish' like ham and turkey with cheese. My favorite Subway sandwich is roasted chicken with cheese, lettuce, cukes, and honey mustard dressing.

a sandwich I liked as a kid was Nutella and plain salted crips on white bread.
