The last president we had who cared about average people was John Kennedy.I was a little boy at the time, but I remember him well.He took good care of us through difficult and dangerous times.Kennedy was his own man.Every president since has been a tool of hidden interests. The worst is the current one.George W Bush is the most despicable president in history. He deserves impeachment and prison. So does Dick Cheney.

The best impact I'd say was FDR because the New Deal and the win of World War II (although Truman finished the job) kept country alive and made USA greater than ever.

I don't think any other statesman in the world can compare to that.

FDR turned the country around when it seemed that everything was lost, pretty much "created" social justice (let's not discuss if people are abusing it or not) and, through timing and intelligence, put us in condition to win the war and launched the foundation for the longest and strongest prosperity run in History.

The worst impact, I thought would be an unanimity - the kid destroyed the economy, ran over our privacy, the Constitution, did nothing for the health system, created bad blood with our allies, accepted (or demanded) torture, etc, etc.
He is either the worst or has just really, really bad luck.

Also cheated on, betrayed and let die our own defenders (remember Iraq, the Niger Connection, flawed and insufficient equipment to our troops, the Plame Wilson scandal, etc).

And now, as a by product of the contributions that MBNA and Ameriquest-likes made to his campaigns, we are facing the "credit-mortgage meltdown", the most dangerous economic threat since 1929.

Maybe we need FDR to come back. He saved us once, maybe he call pull it off again.

I am calling John Edward.

The best was Ronald Reagan. He single-handedly ended the Cold War, essentially avoiding a possible World War III and the use of nuclear weapons. I can write another 6 pages with additional reasons but that was the main one. A very close second is Abraham Lincoln for preserving the United States. Without him, this nation would have been split in half.

The worst is tough. There were a number of Presidents who negatively impacted this country...FDR, LBJ, Carter, & Clinton. But I'm gonna go with FDR. His "new deal" and socialized programs are still today destroying the fabric of this great nation. They are a drain on the government and the economy.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt had the best impact with programs like Social Security.

George W. Bush had the worst. Doubling the National Debt to over nine trillion dollars and removing portions of the Bill of Rights with the "Patriot Act"..

Administration?

19 century:
Lincoln - best, united country and anti-slavery
Grant - worst, administration filled with crime

20th century:
FDR - best, brought country out of depression
Hoover - worst, brought on the depression

21 century:
Bush - worst, for too many reasons
We're waiting for at least a semi-decent president for this category.

Lincoln. Without his administration, America would not have reunited after the Civil War.

In My Lifetime, I think it was John Kennedy. His staff was and still is the best money can buy. They kept him informed and told him the truth about how Americans see him and let him know when what he was doing wasn't working.
Bush on the other hand, lived his two terms out in fantasy land. His advisers and staff regularly lied to him and made him think he was doing a great job. He in turn, being illiterate and simple minded was the perfect candidate to be a puppet president.Karl Rove and Cheney played him like a fiddle and filled the pockets of their peers and and their gigantic egos. (GOOD JOB BROWNIE)

The best Presidential Administration, Abraham Lincoln because he helped to keep the United in the United States of America during a troubling time and his administration prevented two States of America; United and Confederate.

The Worst Presidential Administration, Bill Clinton because his administration FAILED to keep America safe from Harm and Evil and they did nothing to protect America from being safe.
