The tasks at your current job should be listed in your resume, not on a cover letter. A cover letter is giving you the chance to explain your bulleted qualifications, which are on your resume. Remember that you are looking for a NEW job, you have been mentioning your current employment too much. This will make the company that you are applying to think “If her old job is so great, why is she leaving?” I am not sure why you are leaving, but I always like the old “I am seeking a career, not a job” approach. This makes the employer think that you are willing to stay for an extensive period time. You sound like a very smart individual, so make sure you portray that! Finally, you can trust me. I have been doing resume and cover letters for a long time! Good Luck!

Dear Sir or Madame,

The position of Customer Service Represenative you advertised on XXXX (Web site or Article/newspaper) on xxxx (Date it was posted) interest me very much.

I believe I have qualifications you seek and have attached my resume for your review.

Should my qualifications interest you, I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you for an interview.

Sincerely,

Your resume will show your current position and your length of time at that position. Your resume should have what you did that will show you have the experience that meets the qualifications and have experience with the software. One of the questions that will be asked is if you are curently a customer service manager, why are you seeking a new postion as a rep that appears to be a step down from your current position. During your interview, your should at minimum discuss a few things 1) How did the position open=was it newly created, did someone get promoted or leave the company 2) Ask questions about the company-A) What business does the company do? If I were to perform my job and do everything that was requested of me, where do you think I could be in the next 5 years? B) Ask about the working enviroment, size of the company? Profitability, revenue and growth rate of the company. C) Major issues you see the company has that they see challanges the company to move to it's next level. D) How long the interviewer has been at their job and what is their impression of the company? E) Do they like what they do and why?

Hope that helps
