I don't know that I have,,,,but I do know that I have been impacted by some of the answers and that it has contributed to more thought on the topic. There have been questions that I have discussed afterwords with others so I do have to think an answer has impact at times.and hopefully not hurtful

I am not sure if I have.
Maybe so but I am far from they type to pat myself on the back. Only others could truely tell you if I have made an impact on anyone's life.
With that said there are times when something is written that does directly affect me. It may be in a way that shows me the more compassionate side of humanity...it may be in a way that makes me stop and think "Wow thats a new way to look at something". Also more times than I can recall I see something that is directed directly at me and it does brighten my day.

In a way, yes.
I believe that every detail of life, regardless of how small it may be, affects us, in the long run. The tiny details affect the medium details, which in turn affect the large details, which have the potential to dramatically alter the building blocks of our lives.
Therefore, according to this theory, anything I do or say may, directly or indirectly, be a "tiny detail" in someone else's life, hence potentially impacting them.
Or maybe I'm just competitive, and like anything that gives you points.

I know I have made a difference in at least three other people's lives. I know we have affected each other and have become close friends.
We have each others phone numbers and addresses and plan on meeting outside of Yahoo.
On a different level, there are others I think of as friends and hope I have had some affect on their lives, too. I know they have had an affect on mine.

I think I have made a difference. I have made some really good friends, and have supported some of them through some trying times.

On an older account, when I was more relaxed here (yahoo), a woman had had a really bad day with her boss (also her husband). I made her laugh that day and forget her troubles. I guess I made a tiny bit of difference on that day.
There were other similar instances.

No, I do not see it as time-wasting fun . . I see it as instruction, more than I had ever expected it would be.
Have some people affected my life through their virtual presence? Yes very much, indeed!
How so, well those are vey long and complex stories . . so I hope I have sufficiently answered your questions!
