My goodness you all make me laugh with your pettiness.
Shall we declare Britain a continent in it,s own right?

Why don,t we get an atlas and check where it is ?

I,m trying to make the point that we are European whether we like it or not. if you don,t agree with the E.U., that is a completely different thing

if you are not European ,which continent do you belong to then? Britain is in Europe.

Thanks but I did read the question. Someone saying they,re not European when they are is as silly as saying you,re black when you,re white.

You're absolutely right. I did answer that post myself and made mention of it. Mind you, I wouldn't bother making an issue of it in this category, as long as you don't care about getting best answer it can be an entertaining place to pass your time, all you need is plenty of patience and a thick skin.

Technically they may not be European. I may be wrong, but, I think they joined the EU, but, at this time they do not use the Euro and use the British Pound. So, maybe technically they would have to use European money to be European. I still refer to Poland as Polish people and not European, they still use the Złoty and not the Euro.
When I tell people in another country I am American, it can confuse as they thinking, where in America? South, Central, North??? I found this interesting as I guess I am an American that lives in the United States. Also, the United States still use the Dollar and not the Amero.
This actually a confusing situation, soon no one will know who they are, thanks to Government. They already have people confused with what time it is. LOL!

We are not a continent, but an island plain and simple and many people don't want to be part of The United States of Europe as we are being pushed into. Our laws, way of life dictated to by some faceless **** in Brussels, no thanks. We have managed perfectly well without them all this time, i am sure if given the vote or should i say referendum that we were promised many people would stick two fingers up at being European.

This is the British Isles...A place set apart from that lot over there. We are still an Island even though some idiot decided to build that Tunnel, which should have a large stopper put in it. We are our own Continent, and have no desire to be part of Europe....only for those people who want to visit. No one can dictate to us telling us what we are.....we know that already.

That does not make sense.

My question does not mention anything about Continents or declaring independence.. Which would be impossible as we are already, with our own Monarch & Tax System.

Are you one of the PC Brigade gone nuts?

Get off your high horse

*edit One does not need an atlas to check that Great Britain is at the cross roads of The Atlantic, English Channel, North & Irish Seas

I am not European whether you like it or not.

Well said Sparkly, I am with you. Yes why not create it as a continent, If Carlsberg did continents they would create England probably the best in the world.

What is all the fuss about. We have been part of Europe as long as I can remember. It isn't a new thing, just the rules.

You can class yourself as European if you wish.

I am not and do not classify myself as.

It is not pettiness at all. It just is as we feel,
not as u feel. The question asked was how do you feel? read the question next time.

Mexicans are technically Americans, but you never hear them referred to as such.

Yes you are European unless you are African, Asian, American, or Australian. You cannot change geography.
