media regulation help - official bodies and government departments?

hey guys can someone help me out with this! i have to do an asssignment on media regulation. i have to explain official bodies and government departments for it too.
can someone mention some please?

The main one you need to know about is the BBFC (www.bbfc.co.uk)
They're the main regulators for everything in England from tv to film and even compouter games.
A lot of companies such as BBC and Channel 4 own their own regulating bodies as a means of showing they can manage themselves (though this gives them more power over their own content), but BBFC is still the main board you should know about.
