Do you find guys in their 20's too young ?
And guys in their 30's, more knowledgeable, with more life experience ?
I have dated guys that are both younger and older than myself ... and I personally find that I have more in common w. guys my own age ..... :)

My ex was 7 years YOUNGER than I am ... maybe that is why I am divorced now ... ? :)

Future Mrs. Cobb: I can completely relate to that! This is the FIRST time I have ever dated someone my OWN age ....and it is by far the BEST relationship I have ever had! :)

i used to think older was better (all my relationships were with older men including first husband) but then i married someone 8 years younger and have NEVER been happier!!!!although i think it's maturity level not age that makes it or breaks it.

I too have dated men that were older than me (the most being 11 years older) and a few men that were younger (2-3 years) but I had never dated someone my own age until I met my boyfriend almost 3 years ago... We have much more in common, similar goals in life and we're growing as adults together. Our bond is so much stronger than anything I've ever had... We planning on marrying in 2009..
By the way the guy that was 11 years older than me was by far the most immature and irresponsible man I'd ever dated by far, while some of the younger guys were established and knew what they wanted out of life... So I don't think that age is always a factor for life experience and knowledge...

I guess it really all depends on the guy. I have always said that age is just a number. My ex boyfriend is 2 1/2 years younger than me and then boyfriend before that was 7 years older and the younger one was may more mature.

I've dated older (up til 5 years older) and younger (2-3 years younger)...but I prefer guys, who are in my own age range... even though, age doesnt say anything about their maturity... I've dated older guys who were so immature...but I used to date a guy who was 3 years younger, but he was more mature than the older guys... so it always depends on the guy and how much chemistry you have with them...

You know it would have to depend on the guy really. I dated a 48 year old, (I am 35) and he acted less mature than my 10 year old son, on the other hand I have dated someone younger, about 30, and he seemed more mature..so it totally depends on the guy.

Age is not really a factor - it's true that you will have more in common with someone your own age -
It really depends on the person - I've seen some really weary 20-somethings and some really alive and ready for life 60- somethings.

I prefer older men. I always have. However, my most recent relationship was with a person 6 months younger than me.. and I felt like a parent more than a lover most of the time. I definitely learned my lesson on dating men in their twenties.

My BF just turned 50, I'm 27. I've always liked men 35 and older; far more mature and level headed.
