I think to a certain degree we are all guilty of it. We have strong feelings about our values and beliefs and develop tunnel vision to any other perspective. Do you try to look at issues from both sides?

Yes, I surely do. I don't find a reason to get angry at what other people think. They have a right to think just like I have the right to my open opinions. There are many "truths" and many realities. I do, however, become extremely close minded if I feel like I'm being persecuted or attacked for my own opinions.

I am very open minded. However, there is such a thing as being so open minded that your brain has fallen out onto the floor. So we must monitior our open minds carefully, take into consideration both sides and form opinions based on facts not theories or feelings.

iam very open minded. yes i can be stubborn with issues at times but it is rare that i cant see right and wrong points of both sides of an argument. i have moved around a lot as well over the years and you have to be open minded to accept other cultures that are very different from your own and i find it very easy to be open minded about almost everything.

most people arn't as open minded as they claim they are. I start off by talking about the etheric and invisible energies, (orgone, tachyon, hado, chi, wutever you want to call it), and then I talk about how I can move very light objects(telekinetically), even under a glass jar, then they always bring up doing it in a vacuum, and then I explain how I don't have a device to do that, and then they think I'm crazy. Yes, when you are truly open minded, people start to think you are a bit crazy.

I always try to be fair and balance and open minded as much as I can but sometimes my biases come out.

I guess the saying is true: You can burn a house but not a person's prejudice.

We are after all humans and we have our own way of perceiving things that is influenced by our surroundings, race, culture and even language.

I must admit, I'm not very open minded. I believe an open mind is like an open door. Any and everything can walk in. If you don't stand for your values and beliefs, you'll fall for anything.

There are somethings I refuse to listen to.

I am open minded, but I do measure everything against my personal values and ethics. I don't judge people if they come up short. I usually chalk certain behaviors up to immaturity.

I do look at issues from all sides, to say what every side has to say. But I won't necessarily take some one's opinion, yet I would still listen.

I pretty open minded and although I might disagree, I can see how they reached their way of thinking most of the time.

Even the most closed-minded people will think of themselves as open-minded.
