What you eat today will influence the way you think, in turn influencing the way you look, in turn influencing your future. Eat lovingly and you will be loved; eat mercilessly and the world will not be compassionate to you
Vegetarianism is good though all bodies are not designed for vegetables, depending on the shape of your teeth. However, eating too much red meat—particularly cow's meat—will not only pollute you mentally but will disturb your electromagnetic energy causing diseases such as cancer, allergies, Alzheimer's, pollution of the blood, stress and depression. The cow is a spiritually elevated animal. Vedic seers had the vision to realize this. If you crave meat, stay with lower consciousness animals until your consciousness grows and you begin respecting life.

The wisdom of eating is very simple. If you are very much in touch with your heart, you will never fail to crave the right food at the right time. The ultimate goal is to satisfy the body, mind and soul

The wisdom of eating is very simple. If you are very much in touch with your heart, you will never fail to crave the right food at the right time. The ultimate goal is to satisfy the body, mind and soul. Certain foods satisfy the body but are not light enough to reach the mind; there are foods that have the potential to nourish the mind

Our connection with the Earth is through food. The Earth is a store house of all kinds of energies. The food we eat helps us tap the negative or positive forces from the Earth. If you are happy, you must be eating healthy. If you are sad and lifeless, change the foods you eat and the way you eat them. The choice is yours.

The Bible contains dozens of references to stars in different scearios. In some cases, looking for signs in the stars is condemned. In other cases, there is no plain-language judgement on the practice. If you have looked into astrology as something interesting to learn more about, I see no reason why you shouldn't. I have done the same thing, first of all because the religion I once belonged to taught so many unsupported things that once I realized I needed to quit, I decided to re-learn everything I could from neutral sources. Astronomy and/or astrology has been a study of even the most ancient societies found so far. After milennia of obsservation, has something meaningful been established and preserved? Maybe. You decide.

Why are you linking two completely different fields. In astrology eating is governed by the second house (mouth) as also speech, and in India the longevity of the husband (for females), but not vice versa. Some drug addictions or medications can also be governed by the second house. Typically the area governed by the second house starts from below the nose and goes up to the lower part of the neck (above the clavicle). The second house also indicates family to a small extent and some money matters. Depending upon whether the second house is fiery - a person will like pungent (hot) food; watery - (especially if governed by Jupiter one will like sweets); bad aspects of Moon and its watery house (Cancer) can lead one to alcoholism; similarly Mercury/Mars when having bad aspects or are maleficient can make one addicted to drugs, etc. When Venus and its friends are related to the second house, it makes them great singers. Bad aspects of Mercury or Mars again makes one speak bad words and words that can hurt while if governed by Jupiter it makes them chant sacred texts and can even make them prophets.
On the better aspects of the second house are what makes one great orators, lawyers, teachers - Professors, academicians - all who make a living out of their mouths, literally. This is all Indian astrology I am speaking about.

If we eat raajasic food, our mind tends to adopt raajasic nature. If we consume saatvic food, we are more inclined towards saatvic nature. And we may remain away from taamsic food for the same will alter our nature into the taamsic way.The age old saying ' tell me what you eat and I will tell you what you are ' is absolutely correct
I have not come across any scripture where food intake has been related to astrology.

It is true that the physical body is what we eat. This is to tell that the body is made up of the food we eat, not that if we eat spicy food we are spicy.

Food plays an important role in peoples character.

There have been *some* links between what we eat specifically and how it makes our bodies what they are. For example, we need protein to help build strong muscles. One of the best ways to get more protein is to eat more meat. Why? Meat is another animal's muscles which are, buh buh ba bum! Protein.

We need calcium for strong bones. Good way to get calcium? Drink more milk. Why? Because milk has a high calcium count.

So in that sense, yeah, you are what you eat.

As for food being related to astrology......I dunno. o_O

food&astrology.. i don't think there is a resemblance. We are what we eat though because everything we eat contributes somhow to our body& that could be a matter of how weak we are, how hyper we are, and how focused we are.etc
