I'm partial to India.
The history is really incredible, so many world religions have sprung up from this region. While Nigeria's history dates back the origins of man, it isn't nearly as rich and colorful, probably due to less documentation.
The food is to die for. While I don't know a whole lot about Nigerian cuisine, you can't go wrong with a good Vindaloo.
Less government corruption in India.
Fewer internet based scammers.
Wonderful people (not that Nigerians aren't fabulous) I always have good experience with Indian folks.
There is a lot more to see in India. It's the second most populas country in the world and so much larger than Nigeria.
India has few human rights issues.
There is a lot of sectarian violence in Nigeria.
There are more travel options with India. The infrastructure is better equipped.
There are a lot of health issues in Nigeria. Many doctors are leaving the country, In India, the health system is rapidly improving.
Ghandi is a product of this country.
Extreme biodiversity.
Most ligusitically, ethnically, and genetically diverse country in the world.
Architechture - the Taj Mahal
Bhangrah!!!!
Bollywood
As a side note, Nigerians are supposedly the happiest people on Earth - I remeber seeing this study somewhere, but I'm not sure where it came from.

Nigeria, all the way. The people in Nigeria have been through so much more, so I think That it is funny that the question is up for discussion. They share similarities because they were both colonized by the British, but I am for Nigeria. I think that they have much more pride in their country. They also went though 30 months of civil war, in which the entire country was destroyed, and the country was bankrupt, yet they remained a sovereign nation. Many "doctors" from various countries have come to "vaccinate" the children there, but they knowingly give them diseases such as polio and HIV. Their scams are by means their only way of surviving, and they do a very good job at it. Oil companies such as Shell, come and drill for oil, pollute the people's drinking water, and give them nothing in return. To wrap it all up, Nigeria is much better than India. With little resources, the Nigerians find and make a living, in their schools and workplaces. The culture is so amazing, and welcoming, and the language so interesting, with meaning behind every word. Their folktales tell a story about the history of their country. Their beliefs are not indigenous, as so many have been led astray to think. People such as basketball star, Emeka Okafor, author of Things Fall Apart, Chinua Achebe, rapper, Chamillionaire, Cecilia Ibru corprate director of Amazon (company), and so many others.

Interesting question. On what basis are we comparing them. Economically, India protects it's individuals more and small business, while Nigeria is often exploited by internation corporations. Nigeria has a problem on it's northern border with the slave trade, but India has problems with Pakistan. I have a Nigerian friend from College, and Indian friends of my fiancee from med school, so in this way it's an even draw.

India. I would not prefer to live in either place, but respect what India has done. They are a democracy that values their culture and treats their people with respect.
Most of the residents of Nigeria work hard to survive while their government wastes the national resources and oppresses the people. Nigeria is one of the world's leading oil producers and yet they provide little health care or education to the people. Foreign religious groups are needed to help the people. But even Muslims and Christians fight over their basic needs.

i think of it extremely is being ignorant. Excuse my language yet i think of you're concerning an particularly gentle undertaking for some individuals from those international places. at the beginning - maximum of those international places have not been self reliant for long. in maximum circumstances the components of those comparable issues is the continued carry on those international places by way of neocolonialism. in the 1st place the British (and others) had no organization colonizing those international places - who can grant the excellent to flow into yet another guy's residing house and phone it your individual and make that guy a slave? The Irish have been killing one yet another (in spite of bombs) no longer see you later in the past yet no one theory it replaced into being backward. individuals had the Ku Klux Clans no longer see you later in the past! and that they have got been self reliant for 100s of years!!! stability takes time!! So don't be unrealistic on your complete expectancies!!
