to a Lower Value than the Pesos? If not how do you explain the outright disregard for our Economic situation? It seems to me Neither side is doing anything, or has done anything in the past 24 years to prevent what is happening Now.

they will crash the US $ to make way for the Amero to be the new currency.

No matter what their reason the $ will crash and the only way to save your self even a little bit is to buy physical gold or another currency that is more stable

The United States' economy is not what it used to be but we are definately not to the point of the pesos passing us. The United States still has one of the strongest economies in the world with the lowest unemployment rate and strongest housing market. This mess with the high foreclosures is just a blip on the radar. I do not believe the government is to blame for the multi thousand fourclosures. It all boils down to a personal choice and being responsible with that choice. Those people should not have gotten that type of loan and now they are paying the consequences and the lenders should not have offered those loans and they are paying the consequences. It simple odds that over the life of a loan the interest rates are going to go up at some point so get a fixed rate loan. The lenders got into a habbit of lending money that the people really could not afford.
Also if you are complaining about our taxes how about you go live in a country like England or France where the taxes are much higher than ours here.
Yes the US economy is not at the top of its game but it can easily be fixed. A few steps would help raise the taxes of fuel, stop feeding a dying horse and just kill the social security system so on and so on.
If you are not happy with the way this government has spent your money of the past few decades we need a regime change. Our two dominant parties have had their time and now that they are all blotted on the money and power we give them its time for a complete change.

The government has little control over the valuation of its currency. In a global marketplace, everybody helps set the price of money. Other countries, by buying/holding or selling dollars, have more direct control over the price of a dollar than anything else.

You theory makes as much sense as trying to prevent street crime by organizing midnight basketball leagues!

Dang, That's a Stretch!

I don't think there is a secret plan. We've been supporting most 3 world countries for years with No return... I think it's just bad money management.
