Technically, yes you do. You are Santa. If a child is asking you if you have to pay, remind him Santa makes all of his toys up at the North Pole to share with everybody...for free! No charge to the family. If Santa was charging for all those christmas toys, I'd want to be him, I could make a fortune!!

Yes...that is the Santa "Clause". He gives the spirit/wishes/creativity for the Nativity. The parents makes those wishes come true...somehow. If you have no monies.....then you seek donations from charities...ie those with monies....to help your kids wishes come true....even if only in a small way.

If you cannot find a way to fulfill the Santa "Clause" it changes.....to immaterial goods like peace/joy/music/hugs/kisses. Food that they like/carolling....making them aware that magic/caring and bringing together the whole world, mentally, for a few days in time, is what makes Christmas so very special each year.

Dont forget that each religion has their own special time...that brings them together too...in world spirit. If yours is 25th Dec...celebrate it as much as the others do theirs...with Joy to the World.

I think Santa owns a delivery service called the North Pole Express. He`s owned it for years, so he`s loaded. One night a year, he donates his time and presents as a tax write-off. So no, you don`t have to pay for your child`s gifts. It`s all free.

Lol, I realised Santa wasn't real when I noticed his handwriting on the tags on the presents was really, really similar to my mums...

Don't you usually pay in carrots for the reindeer, cookies and milk for Santa? And sometimes a beer ;)

Ok, Ill be nice. Unfortunately, you have to pay the stores where you buy the gifts and they give Santa a cut.

If you won't, I don't know who will. Santa isn't real, mommy & daddy have to buy the presents and put Santa's name on them. I do hope you're kidding.

no, you don't HAVE to pay for presents, but if u don't there's only 2 options
1) very sad little kiddies on christmas morn
or
2) u will spend a few days in a striped jumpsuit for just "taking" them.
so either way yeah, u'll be paying
