he has been an directer of an company called dorval limited on 09/09/07, basically he didnt know this but the company owned the HM revenue and customs £4 billion pound tax.

obviously he didnt know, but tommorrow they are coming to arrest him

what rights and help is available to him
this man is also disabled - he cannot walk without crutches, but he was working for someone, the owner of the company and his sons have left the country (india) and left him to deal with their mess

I know he cannot be held liable but why is he then because the HM revenue and customs think that because he is the director he will have to repay 4 billion or jail

If he is an ordinary without knowledge of irregularities on financial operations, he cannot be held liable.
