How much to rebuilt a 2001 dodge stratus r/t automatic transmission? Is 3,000 accurate?

there $2000 to $3000 here consider a used one for1/2 that

some fwd(front wheel drive) cars can get very expensive to remove, rebuild and install a trans. Rwd(rear wheel drive) cars are much easier because most of the time the subframe can stay in. 3000 seems like a little much. Call a dealership and ask what price is. if you got your price from a dealership, call some independent trans shops and get their prices. I ve never charged over 2000 for a rebuild on a fwd car though

In my area you would be paying a little over half of that and get a 12month 12,000 mile warranty.

it would be way cheaper to just buy a new one in my area for about 600

and in my area u would pay 1200 to 1500 ... no more than that...shop around
