I tried using tape (not scotch tape; is was strong black tape) and it didn't work out and it doesn't look very attractive either. How can I attach christmas lights on my wall without having to drill holes or use tape? I'm just feeding it around a desk that's in my room and some other furniture in case your wondering....please help!

Get some push pins, put them in the wall at an angle and put the lights in the open part at the top of the V shape. The holes it will leave will be much smaller and easier to deal with when you take them down.

There is some sort of material that looks like silly putty that you can stick to the wall without having little pin holes from push pins or holes from nails and screws. Sorry, I wish I knew what it was called! Go to your local craft store and ask. AC Moore or Michaels.

If you can get some of those very tiny hooks and screw them into the wall, that might work, but be sure there isn't anything in the way of where you are putting those lights.

I like to use push pins. the clear ones. They leave very small holes, but thats usually no big deal.
