Roddy Piper easily. Not the greatest technician (although still miles ahead of Hogan) But easily one of the top 5 on the mic. Ric Flair is up there as well, as he was great in the ring and was great on the mic. But I found Piper to be more entertaining.

Bob Backlund. He was a little guy (for a wrestler), and was able to defeat larger opponents through skill, not brute strength or outside help. He was WWF champion for five years.
