Keep Christmas as a religious festival for all Christian believers.
Christmas is a time to remember and celebrate the birth of Christ, not a time for the giant commercial companies to fleece their customers
It is also a time for family and friends to promote peace, not only between themselves and individuals, but worldwide. Anything that does that must continue.
Pass laws preventing shops & companies from advertising until at least 1 December.and from putting up decorations. (Advertising and decorations are started as early as September). By the time Christmas actually arrives I for one am sick and tired of it. Only because of the fat cat, money grabbing commercialists.
Pass a law preventing advertising of Christmas toys etc for children until at least 9pm on TV.
Keep all other religious festivals for those not of the Christian faith but respect theirs as they should respect ours.
A very merry and peaceful Christmas to you all and the happiest and healthiest 2008. Especially to those whose religion is different to that of the Christian.

if i had my way i'd scrap it...it's over rated and too bloody expensive....why work hard all year just to spend it on people you don't really like anyway..and all that phoniness makes me sick...i can't bare being around people who say they like you but do't then accept a gift from you...arrrghhhh yep...deffo scrap it...next year i'm gonna go away so i don;t have to deal with it all....
