Do you prefer to be addressed formally or informally?

I like to be called by my first name at work, by friends and family. But when it comes to lawyers, telemarketers, salesreps etc I would rather be called Mrs.

Depends on the occassion, first names are fine once you know someone in business but I always like to introduce formally first - its a strange language thing like the French "Tu" - can get you into trouble!

i prefer to be called by my first name but i'm working in a school part time and get called miss all the time, its a bit confusing sometimes!!

Mrs by bill collectors.Sharen by my friends or customers.A lot of these customers have come to be friends.And being too formal is stuffy.

That depends on who it is. I don't like totaly strangers calling me on the phone and just using my first name.

informally only by my first name...
whensb calls me formally i find it funny and at first i think he/she isn't talking to me..lol
