Perfectly. He has outstanding character and will fit right in with the "humble pie" mentality. In terms of X's and O's he gives them a legitimate running game, and the Pats can use a system like the Vikings did this year. But Maroney is not as good a Chester Taylor so you would see McFadden get more carries than Peterson did this year. He will also add an explosiveness to the Punt/Kick return game.

I don't think the Patriots will get McFadden, but don't worry, you'll see him twice a year-- as a Dolphin (owners of the #1 pick). Besides there is no guarantee the Patriots will get the #2 pick anyways. The 49ers have an easier schedule than the Rams (who have still to play Pittsburgh and Green Bay as well as a road game against Arizona, who is still in the playoff picture).

I hope the 49ers win out, so they get about the 8th pick.
If I were McFadden, and I saw I was about to be drafted by the Patriots, I'd stay my senior year.

I'm sure they are going to give him away to a team with the highest bid. They are going to get several picks or high draft picks for the next draft.

I don't think the Pats will draft him so it doesn't matter. The best option for the Pats would be to trade that #2 pick and see if they can land a mid-first round pick this year and a 1st round pick next season.

That number 2 is not guaranteed yet, and I'm almost guarantee Miami will either pick him or trade with someone else who will pick him (I'm betting on the latter, because there's no one else worth it at #1 and Miami has many needs besides running back, especially if Ronnie Brown comes back healthy).

Don't be so sure the Pats will draft him. First they don't need him, with the way they pass the ball it would be a wasted pick. They love to trade for more draft picks and they need to get younger at LB.
