I don't like Jim Rome but he made a comment yesterday about this game. He said the Patriots may not be talking about destroying the Jets in Public but behind closed doors they are. He said this game will not start until the Pats are up by 40 and then the real fun begins.
What do you think about Jim's comments yesterday?

I think Jim Rome is a tool. he characteristically says ridiculous things to draw attention to himself and create controversy. I seriously wonder how often he's right, but I can't be bothered to track his silly ruminations.

I think Bill and the boys are focused, and far more concerned with winning the game than teaching the Jets some lesson. Now, if they get the chance to score a lot, they will. But they are too smart to lose focus on the real goal. At the end of the day, the Jets are small potatoes. I also don't think the Pats will yap after the game, regardless of the score.

I think the Pats will win convincingly, but I don't know that the margin of victory will be that great. I think the Pats will actually run the ball a bunch more than usual, eating up the clock, and they'll combine it with enough passing to get Brady his record. Why do I think this?

1. The Jets have the 3rd to worst run defense in the league.

2. The running game allows the Pats O line to beat them physically

3. There's a good chance the weather will suck, favoring the run.

But as far as listening to Rome, I really don't care what he thinks. He's just trying to create a little more drama.

Oh, and with the snow coming, I hope they've made the call to Walpole, in case they need a snow plow temporarily. And if they do use one, I hope Shula's in the booth. Bahahahahaah!

Well i do not watch Jim Rome ,if he said that then ill take it like anything else that comes out of his mouth never the facts just his assinine opinion . The only 1's that really know whats going on in the Patriots Locker-room and their Plans for the Jets game is the Patriots we can all sit here assume the Patriots will come out and put an Old Fashion Butt Whopping on the Jets , but we all will just have to wait till Sunday . Now with the Inclimate weather game plans will probly change , it may turn into a running game from the Patriots seeing how the Jets have the 29th ranked run defense .

In my faithful opinion, no team knows New England (and their tendencies) quite like the New York Jets. Mangini and Billicheck have exchanged questionable handshakes for two years upcoming now. As a Patriots fan, I cannot say, after watching the Eagles and Ravens games, that New England will simply walk all over New York. If Billicheck insists on running up the score, the team's performance will be more prone to big mistakes if they choose to play agressively. This whole plan could backfire on NE. Granted, the odds of the Jets actually winning are slim, but, Billicheck, why mess with success? Run your normal drives, put points on the board, play solid D and repeat.

I predict New England to win 49-17 this week.

The Jets receiving corps isn't that bad... Mark Sanchez is maturing and has potential. The Jets running game is okay and can be explosive with L.T. and they can pound you into the ground with Greene. With all that said I still believe the Patriots have a much more potent offense mainly because of Brady. Plus the Patriots could easily stuff the run with two of the best DT's in the league plus Jerod Mayo who led the league in tackles last year. By shutting down the run they make the jets one dimensional putting more pressure on Sanchez and company.

I don't need him to tell me, what I already knew. I haven't seen that yet so I don't want to say to much about it and just sound ignorant. I will say If there was any team the Pats were going to "run the score up" on it would with out a doubt be the Jets. The best part about it is because it is the Jets it is very possible for almost any team to do if they really try, and the Pats, I believe, will do whatever they can to get as many points against them as possible.
Oh if you have a link so that I can actually see for myself what he said, would you mind sending it to me, thanks.

Oh and Congrats Darth Brady on being the Top contributor.

This is the perfect opportunity for the Pats and Bill Belichick to run up the score, pad the stats, and demorilize the Jets. Pats 70 Jets 10

Jets will get pummeled Sunday, unless the 1-2 feet of snow falls, as predicted for the game. Then Pats by 20.

I think he is half right. The Pats do want to humiliate the Jets, but they want to do that to everyone. But if the Pats are up 40 I see Bill resting his starters and taking Brady out of harms way.

Lightning struck once with the Jets! They were laughed at and given no possible chance in Super Bowl 3. Where's Joe Namath? It's unlikely, but lightning might strike twice. Jets in miracle upset 41-38!!!!
