No it's not a sin. Even the Bible says it's not a sin. It doesn't quite say that not marrying is better than marrying. Different passages talk about the blessings of both. Below are some verses from I Corinthians 7 where God says that those who are unmarried can devote more time to studying the Bible and don't have all the cares that married people have.
1 Corinthians 7:32 But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:
1 Corinthians 7:38 So then he that giveth [her] in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth [her] not in marriage doeth better.
Of course it is also a sin to have sexual relations before marriage. Earlier in the same chapter this is referred to. So it's not like it's okay to go date whomever you want, have sex and a family and everything like a married couple and not be a married couple.

First of all are you religious? If yes... I can't help you :-) But I guess that every religion thinks its a sin of not marrying!
I'm not religious so NO its not a sin... You are free to do what you like to do! There are a lot of people nowadays that just live together but don't get married!
Another important fact is your culture. Where are you from... But at the end its YOU who makes the decision! You have to do whatever you feel comfortable with!

No it is a sin to have sex and not be married though. The bible clearly states that its okay to not have a sexual partner but if you feel the need to then you need to marry and make that person your partner under god first.

No of course not! My godmother and single, never married an a virgin at 75. She's perfectly content on her own. Goes to church every sunday and volunteers at the old age home. She was the president of the bank, and now is happily retired.

I had a talk/seminar at church about singleness!
It's perfectly okay not to marry, but God always has a plan for you!
The Ten commandmants are most important, Marriage is not Absaloutely important, but may bring you closer to God in SOME ways.

Please....no, dont do this to yourself. It is a sin to marry only for being married. We marry if both of us want to, we dont marry in order not to be siners..maybe this a sin alone

no it isnt. in most religions it isnt a sin to not marry but is a sin to divorce or have sex before marriage.

i think that the word marriage is a word and meaning error.
i believe that if you found a partner and he is the only one you want to be with and the same for him and you both promise yourselves to each other then it should be ok for you two to have sex and not be a sin, bu if you were to stray or decied he is not the one then it should be a sin. you should have only one mate and work on problems not split because of them
