Legendary band, regardless of whether people like their music or not.
In fact I think they're the best gift that Australia has given to rock-n-roll to date. Their name (ac/dc means alternating current / direct current) says it all. The guys are/were pure energy and are an all around power band.
The first album I ever bought, at the tender age of 12, was Let There Be Rock. That original lineup with Bon Scott produced a sound that has moulded the style of current guitar rock. I'm only sorry that I was too young to see them at that time.
Anyone who spent time listening to rock music in the late 70s and 80s had their musical ear influenced by them, whether they know it or not. Probably not the band they once were, but it doesn't matter. They put a permanent footprint on popular music.

Love em! Though I'm worried that Brian's voice is just too shot. Hs voice was always more gravelly than Bon's, but in the last 10 years, he just sounds too ragged to me.
But I'd love to see them live & they still have lots of years left.
By the way, if you like AC/DC, check out a sound-alike band called The Upper Crust. Great rockin stuff & hilarious sight gag!

One of my favourite bands of all time.
Seen them live three times, twice at Donington Park when it was Monsters of Rock and once at Wembley Arena.
Fave album has to be Highway to Hell. It's a obvious choice, but it is superb. Fave track must be Shot Down In Flames.

hope your old enough to remember them before bonn scott died the original lead singer, if you think they are great now you should have seen them then, i saw them a good few times in the 70s [yes i am an old head banger] it took me a while to except the replacement but yes they are still great, they dont get any airplay on uk radio stations though, even the classics like ''whole lotta rosie'' i often wondered why that was

Well I'm proud that they're Aussie.
I think they're overlooked sometimes as "just a pub band', becuase they really do have some amazing songs, and a lot of talent.
I can't seem to think of them as AC/DC without Bon though
I hope you do get to see them!

I do believe they are touring soon and they rock! even though all they're music tends to sound the same. ( Like my bf says, if you can play one ac/dc song on guitar you can play them all.) But thats the pure beauty of ac/dc, they sound likeno other band on earth. Thair music is so original its in a class of it's own.

Love them.
Proves that Australia really can rock.
Bon Scott was definitely the best singer though.
As wonderful as they were, I don't think they should be touring now.
Preserve the memories.
