its beed likt that for a while but when i shake the container it moves again and sits back up but i want to know if its dying or sleeping or sick i am worried about him

one of two things..
1. His tank is lacking oxygen.. Get a bubbler to help him breath.
2. The temperature is to hot or cold...Keep at 25 degrees C
also stop shaking the container. This is stressing him. Stress and all of the above will kill him.

im pretty certain its dying. my goldfish done that once. i came home and he was dead.

maybe he's ill. why not take him to a vet.
