I realise that most of you are unemployed or unemployable but for the rest of us why does it seem like the country went on shut down on December 1st? Unless you work in retail, or restaurants etc.

Why do you say most of us are unemployed or unemployable? That is a bit of an assumption. I have contact with most of the people on this section, they all work. This is my first day off for 3 weeks. As I have said before, we no longer work 9 - 5 Monday to Friday.

I work. I'm just day off today. I had a choice. I could go out Christmas shopping and end up irritated or I could come on here and still get irritated. I chose to spend the time on here.

Yeah, I agree.
I'm working on Dec 24 but only till noon instead of the whole day.
But to tell you the truth, I'd really like to stop earlier. It must be great to have so much time off.
