MOST OF ALL.... be honest to yourself!!
1/What, if any, is the proverb/anecdote that you have found most useful, or comforting in times of need or unease??(Difficult one, but try not to pluck the first one that, you remember?!(unless, appropriate?!)
2/If the possibility arose, which person from any period of time, and any position in life(NOT A RELATIVE, PARTNER OR FRIEND!), would you choose to spent 1 hour with, why and what would you do in that hour?(TRUTHFULLY!!)
3/IF....YOU MET Yourself - Try and take a second or two..- do you think that you would like the person that you are??(Think carefully!!??) And do you think that you would be friends with 'you'??
I've looked deep within, personally, I'll give my answers tomorrow!? (Honestly, still thinkig one of them through!) 8-) Thanks for taking part

1. I Firmly Believe that " whatever happens, happens for a reason and its always for the best " even though it might be hard to believe at that time. It has seen me thru the worst of times!
2. I'm not sure on this one meaning it might not be the ans you're looking for but I'll say it anyway. See I 'know' that we all have a part of God in us, maybe hidden deep inside. I would love to spend time with someone who has successfully brought out their inner god out in the open in this world of violence and preserved him here too. I would try to learn how to do the same.
3. Ok so truthfully, I would love to befriend not the present 'me' but a younger, vulnerable, innocent me of a few years ago. I love person I was. While changing my exterior/my looks, somewhere down the line my inner child grew up too. I dunno when or how I changed but I'm trying to be who I was earlier as she's a much better person with a larger heart compared to what I've become. I'm taking baby steps in that direction and I'm hopeful ;)

1/ "This too will pass" (Confucius)- I have learnt to apply this to most things, good and bad, since reading it in a Claire Raynor book on babies and children thirty or more years ago! The hardest thing to do is to apply it to good things as well as bad,
2/ Gertrude Jekyll, the gardener/garden designer. Being a gardener myself - although not in her class! - I would love an hour in her company in her garden, because all gardeners lover to share plants and knowledge.
3/ I don't think I would like myself initially, I would probably think I'm a cold, know-it-all sort of person. But if I proved to be honest and straightforward, I would be rewarded by an honest and trustworthy friend who would pull out all the stops to help if I needed it.

1. In times of need/unease, anything along the lines of "It could be worse", or "I've been through worse", etc. Anything that helps me realize that this isn't the lowest of lows.
2. Thomas Jefferson. A brilliant man whose ideas on government are incredible. Plus to get his opinion on how his government has turned out today would be amazing.
3. No. I'm an a$$hole. No way I could be friends with me.

1. even when things looks wrong...they're right...all you need to do is just go with the flow (easier typed than done) and watch things pan out to see how 'right' it is in the end.....
2. Elvis....it may seem a shallow choice, but i think he was 1 of the most gifted men of the 20th century......he knew it aswell but just couldnt understand why he had been chosen to walk such a path....he struggled with spirituality issues and i think eventually gave up on his quest for enlightenment...hence the ending that he had....
3. jeez...meeting me!! quite honestly, i think i would probably think i was a good person, but i wouldnt be my cup of tea if you know what i mean....and no i would not go out of my way to be friends with me as i know i would get on my nerves if i had to spend any amount of time with me....!
an excellent question, which i have enjoyed answering X

Answer for:
1. "This too shall pass" I love this quote and everytime I'm in trouble, I think of it and I can pull myself together again.
2. Edgar Alan Poe, midnight. I'll ask him to tell me more spine tingling stories and get crazy drunk with him.
3. I'll probably find myself interesting yet at the same time be intimidated with myself. There won't be any possibility that I get to be friends with myself though because I seem not too interested to meet new people.

My anecdotes I tend to concoct myself, although the 'do unto others, as u would have done unto thee; stands the test of time as does all wisdom.
One hour with The Almighty, for his intellect, wit, humour, beauty, sardonism...and we would solve all the mysteries of life, bring world peace and then spend time thereafter.....free.
I love, adore, idolise the person that I am. I was prior to my divorce blessed in that I loved, adored, idolised the person that I was married to. No greater virtue of matrimony can be betsowed than that can it.
To love that person reflected in the mirror each morn, be able see deep into the soul, understand it, be empowered sufficiently to improve the less than perfect or wise enough to be reconciled to that beyond our ability to do so. And accord others the right to do so. Me Myself I.

Still working on the rest.
