At least with an hourglass figure you have shape, thin poles do not look attractive or feminine at all.

I used to be very thin when I was a young woman, a size 8, no b**bs, waist or hips to speak of, just like "Twiggy" - well that was fine then, I could buy all the latest fashion clothes. Now I am a pensioner and have a sort of hourglass figure except that I am a size 14/16 and I would MUCH prefer the long thin pole figure even if I am told that I am "cuddly". So I think it is all a matter of perception - beauty is supposedly in the eye of the beholder, so your question will mean different things to different people.

I have what my honey calls a "guitar body". As a female, and one who appreciates the female form, I love the hourglass figure but if a woman is naturally thin, slim and straight like a pole, who's to say anything?!
Real beauty is all about embracing who you are - naturally. It's also about being healthy so, if a woman who has the extra weight wants to lose them to an ideal weight, again, who are we to say anything?!

I believe that what ever figure your body naturally wants to have is best. Since we are all evolutions of earlier models, there is no correct shape.
The "modern" attitudes of beauty are for marketing purposes so of course they leave much to be desired.

It's always good to have something to grab on to. I think a lot of women worry too much about their figures (but I'm sure that if I was to put weight on I'd worry too - does this make me a hypocrite?). But I think most men don't really fancy flat chested boy-shaped women any more than they fancy heifers.

I am a classic hourglass with big **** and hips, but never the less a perfect UK size 10!! I am very happy with my body and know from personal experience (I was a UK size 4) that my husband loves it, men love it and more importantly, I feel happy with myself.
