I think it's ridiculous to say Bush was the worst or Obama was the worst. People are just saying that because they hardly remember more than 3-5 presidents because they're so young. Before saying who's the all time worst or the best, you should actually read about all the presidents USA has had. What did they do, what happened during their presidency, how much the people loved/hated him....if you just do a survey and ask people "who do you think is the worst US president ever"? People will say Bush, Obama, Reagan, Carter, Bush sr.....you know the most recent ones.

Herbert Hoover Bush is a close second, but Hoover sat around and watched the Depression take hold and did nothing. Couple that with turning the troops loose on the bonus army camped on the washington mall. When a US president turns the troops loose to bayonet babies....well that just is not the american way

James Buchanan. His wishy-washy presidency led directly to the American Civil War.

Most of the answers above me are focused on hate and seemingly posted by people who don't know much history. Ulysses S. Grant is generally regarded as the worst President in U.S. history. To they guy who said he would rather have Hitler as his President: you really need to take a few history classes if that's how you feel...

Taft. But even the worst US President is a million times better than all other leaders -ever- in the world. It is so sad how other countries can't govern themselves like the best country in the world. If you think otherwise than you have a SHORT ATTENTION SPAN and no concept of history.

Woodrow Wilson, the guy was re-elected because he ran on a platform of neutrality in WWI and promised to keep us out of the European war then immediately after being re-elected took us to war in Europe. I don't have a problem with the Americans being involved in WWI, just have the balls to stand up and say what you are going to do.
