I would be offended too. Sit down with him and ask him why he does this? When it is said one time and that's it, yea it could be a joke but more than once it shows an underlying issue. Tell him how you feel about this and to please show more respect towards you. If this continues there is more to this then what he is showing. Also explain to him in a working environment this isn't going to help either of you out with the other workers at the cafe. I hope that you can find a resolution to this situation. Good luck.

If it bothers you, then say something to him, personally, I would find it offensive and I would say something to my husband if he said something about that.
Usually they joke and they do not realize that their joke is and was offensive to the people they are talking to including you.
Just tell your husband how he feels, he probably does not mean anything about it, probably just trying to make it light for everyone during this crazy holiday season, and not at your expense, rest assured.
But if it really bothers you, tell him how you feel, men are not mind readers, and if you tell him how you feel then he will stop making those jokes when you are not there.
If he says you are too sensative, then say yeh, maby I am, but it bothers me, because I went to another school, so pick on another school, and not mine, because it bothers me when you disrespect mine.
Communication is the number one important thing in any relationship and in any marriage.

Maybe overly-sensitive would be better. In any case it still can be hurtfull. If you haven't already, tell him so.More often than not this was something that was said off-hand during a completely irrelevant conversation. It got a good reaction, consequently,it's now become a reflex to someones goof. Unfortunately the first time round he had a "good crowd".That sucks for you.Hmmm....wonder exactly how good he is at 'his' job?

You could point out that you went to this school, and that he hasn't complained to you about your standard or work, but if he isn't happy about it, you would be perfectly happy to go and get a job someplace else.
Feel free to get a bit snarly when you say this. He'll get the message.

This is a case of being over sensitive to the extreme.
You must be very insecure to react in the manner you have.

Oh that is so disrespectfull . I would let him know that I dont think that is very funny . Then ask him if he would like for you to do that to him ? I think he would think the same thing . Good luck and God bless.
