You can teach someone how to do something, but you can't force them to actually do it. Better yet, you can give someone tools for success, but it is up to them to have the work ethic to use those tools.

You can show people how to do things and offer advice, but they have to make a decision to listen to your advice and follow it.

the meaming is that you can give someone the tools do something but can't make him to do it.
