Well in some way, i am surprised people are saying no! why then do we worry a lot about hacking while on wireless connection?

There is something called Wirelss VLAN, this may be expensive for you to implement as an individual. but it provides controlled access to an existing LAN (local area network).

The easiest way to establish such connection is to use remote connection help , send a remote connection help to a username a nd password. go to the other laptop and login , since you are the only one who knows the username and password to the remte connection, this would give you access to the other laptop completely.

try this, go to your network settings in control panel, and manually assing 192.168.1.2 to the first laptop and assing .3 to the other laptop, disable the firewalls on each of the computers, create a folder on one of the laptop, and from the properties, share the folder.

on the other laptop, type cmd to the run menu and click ok, on the command menu that appears, type \\192.168.1.2\c:\sharedfolder

assuming C drive and 192.168.1.2 was where the folder was created.
best of luck!

Yes you can. Of course the instructions would depend on what operating system you are running.

If you're running Windows XP, this looks like a great tutorial:

Good luck!
