I have an Ipex 51 laptop (yes I know, old, old, old) and the battery life only runs for two hours, three if the screen is dimmed. This is fine when I'm at home, but when I'm travelling and need it, then its really annoying. My friend said its possible to get more batteries put in and it will run off those as well. Is this true?

very few laptops can have extra betteries in them at same time, but you might be able to buy an extra one, somewhere.
Then when power runs low, power off, swap betteris away you go.

For an old laptop it's doing pretty well (although you haven't exactly said how old it is).
Though I can't seem to actually find any information on that model anywhere.
