Black tends to be the better choice for formal events, and goes extremely well with white. White on its own is extremely attractive and has a more casual appeal. Most white apparel can be worn with flat sandals for that relaxed look.

White is the opposite of black. I think white is a bit better than black because it is used more often than black and it blends well with any color while black clashes with some.

in ipod colors? then it depends on ur taste.
black is the absence of color, and white is the reflection of all the colors in the spectrum. its easier on the eyes to see black details on white than white details on black.
