Why do people see celebrities as anything more then what they are? Over paid, phonies being someone their not.

i think it's okay to sometimes admire a person's choices but some people take it too far such as people who like quentin tarantino. they become sycophants of tarantino and it's really pathetic. but you're right - there's so much phoniness around it's disgusting. but they're like whores because the phoniness pays the bills

theyre not all phonies. stop letting the Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton types generalize your views on them.

its true, underneath they ARE just regular people but if people happen to admire them for the person they really are then thats ok because its almost like admiring a friend.
like i said some people admire them for how they are and not because theyre a celebrity. the reason someone wouldnt admire that same person if they werent a celebrity is because you cant just exactly walk up to a random person and find stuff about them. if you could do that then us "normies" would be admiring other regular people more often.

i realize that you cant know everything about them and you cant always believe what you hear but if you do your research then you can find real facts about them (w/interviews etc.) also if you have good perception or analysis like i do (using facial expressions, tone of voice etc.) you can often see through the person. some people are easy to see through too. plus the more time you take the time to analyze the more chance what you find out is accurate.

Perhaps they don't know Daniel Radcliffe. He's no phoney, not money hungry and still has his cell phone taped up with cello tape..He's extremely down to earth.
