It has happened to me on a pathetic and poorly run site with useless and unhelpful moderators, called GaiaOnline.com
Luckily it was a crappy poem of mine, but still GRRR!

I know how you feel, honey but it happens everyday, however there is a way to combat it, if you copyright it yourself, by sending a copy of your poems to yourself, with dates then if the poem is used in an offence or competition way you have proof of it being your's, good luck.

Haven't posted any of mine online but did let a friend borrow one or two. Don't get mad, just feel flattered that your poem was good enough to get picked.

I did one ,for and about, an adult site I used to be a member of.It can only ever be used in there or a similar site,and it would'nt bother me if anyone ever happened to use it or claim they wrote it.

Yes. The feeling was unexplainable. They stole my poem. It was posted in my blog.
