Alex it s not only frosty and icy here its become the frozen south!!! Ice all over the fishpond, ice on windscreens and o top of cars...dustmen out in thick padded jackets with neon signs...Its dark and miserable!!! The heating is on full blast and yet there is a draught coming from somewhere despite the double glazing. My advice is...if you are in a warmer place DONT come here. I cant hear any aircraft noise this morning so I am not sure even if there are any flights out to nice warm places.

Frosty? I thought it had snowed when I looked out of the window this morning. It is freezing and my car wouldn't start yesterday so I had to get a new battery. Went up early this morning and checked that it started

It's the same here in West Yorkshire...really icy today, even the outside of the velux windows are frozen....but I did have the sense last night to empty the water out of the bird baths before it froze!

Yes it is, although interestingly there was more frost and ice in London than there was in the Surrey Hills, where I went hiking.
