Yes true love does wait, not only a single lifetime but many to unite with its love.

I feel like I can help you out with my own experiences, I've had this similar question in my mind, and to be honest it does wait, because if it's true love it never ends, that person is part of your new hope and has something to do with your faith , If you guys are taking time apart I would tell you to find Jesus if you haven't already so you can understand what I mean, If it's suppose to be not the worst thing will stop it I mean the worst thing I been dealing with a issue similar to your question for almost a year trust me and I ve seen some horrible things but God always works it out if its suppose to be and not mess up your hopes but if its not meant to be God has the right person waiting for you.

Hi. Since this is in the Mythology and Folklore forum, I geuss you are looking for a philosophical answer about the nature of true love.(The 'Myth' perhaps?)
I believe there IS such a thing. I think it's a timeless and unchained phenomena for those lucky enough to experience it. But not everyone will.
Since it is timeless, this also means there is no such thing as having to 'wait' within a true love.
So Yes- a True Love will wait, but only because it dosen't have our tedious ideas about time. It is bigger than that.

This question made me think a bit. Four words with no context mean I have to guess.

So I'm guessing it's one of two things- a movement for sexual abstinence or a take-off of an old Buddy Holley song, "True Love Ways."

I like Buddy Holley, so I'll just re-read the lyrics and find some solace there. Thanks.

Not sure, but I do know that Tom Waits! HAAA! Ok, I've been up too long.

I side with The Princess Bride on this one... "Not even death can stop true love."
