No. Why should it be banned? A person gathers enough money to open a restaraunt and is forced by the government to not allow smoking? Why don't we ban smoking in smokers homes as well? Cigarette smoke and not to mention second hand smoke at that are not the only major causes for cancer. I understand the reasons for both sides. Though I stopped 8 months ago I can still remember the "smoking areas" set up outdoors near dumpsters and such outdoors even in the winter.

I'm a smoker, and I think if they're going to ban smoking in public places, then they should ban cars, the output of which is far more dangerous. If you're in a room with 10 smokers for an hour, you'll be fine. If you're in a room with 1 running gas motor for 10 minutes, you'll be dead.

I'm a smoker, and it's banned in public places here, including bars etc. I think it's going well. I personally don't like smoking indoors anyway.

I'm not a smoker, however i can be very unbiased about the whole thing because my mom smokes... frankly, i've never liked smoking.... even though you can't really get ill from it unless you are suseptible. I know some people have lung cancer and they are 40 and only smoked for 15 years... my mom has been smoking since she was 16 and is 51.... However, in either case, i DO think people should get a choice... you can still smoke, if you go outside. or go to a privately owned place... i don't think they should outlaw it for bars that make more than 50% of their outcome from alcohol though... long story short... i'm not a second hand smoke nazi, but for people who are, they shouldn't have to eat at home...

yes i'm a smoker.
i think there should be some places that allow smoking like bars or restaurants but not all places...i know i smoke a lot but i don't mind going outside to smoke because indoors can be a little nauseating.
but smoking shouldn't be banned from every public place.

Places that want to have smoking customers ,should have places sat a side for people that smoke..
Were children and older people reside or go it should be banned.Smoking is becoming less popular in restaurant ,but not bars.
Do they still have teachers lounges,in school?

No, and yes, I'm a smoker. I'd like to go on a rant, but I won't. Suffice it to say, I'm a militant smoker, and if you don't want to be near it, go away.
