I like the name Sadie, but I can't think of a single first name that it sounds good behind. Sadie as a middle name just doesn't seem to flow with anything I can come up with.

But, I definitely do not think it is too "old". I think it is timeless. It's not too trendy, not too popular, yet its easy to spell and pronounce. I think it works will for a little girl and works well for a grown woman. So many names sound strange for one age group or another.

even though Sadie is an older name its very cute! I think there are some names that are just timeless. I think it would be a beautiful choice for a middle name!

I taught a lovely little girl named Sadie just two years ago. I think it is a beautiful name, and one that I'm considering someday. Not an old lady's name at all!

Sadie is a really cute name, i have a cousin named Sadie. my husband and i couldn't agree on a name for our daughter either. He loved the name Katelyn, I hated it. Guess what her name is....Katelyn. I got to pick the middle name though! Katelyn Lacy. Maybe if you guys can argee to each pick a name, you get the middle he gets the first...something like that. how about Sadie Elizabeth?

I actually think Sadie sounds like a little girls name as opposed to an old lady. It sounds cute.

Suggestions for first names: Emma, Jaclyn, Eliza, Katherine, Andrea

absolutely not. It is a good name.

You should know that there are tons of Graces - Olivias and I've even met a handful of Evelyns and an Estelle or two. Those are pretty old lady names and they are on the return.. so if you do think Sadie is an old lady name.... at least you aren't naming her Gertrude... (are you?) :)

Old doesn't mean it isn't fashionable.
