Dangler is a ring supporting one end of the chain. The other end of the chain is having a iron ball of about 4" dia. It's a hammer throw sport. The sportsman swings twice before he releases the dangler.. the word dangler is a noun and derivative of dangle. .. still in the process of making... when too many people speak a word, it's adopted in dictionary... what's in ur mind is a slang ..
