Nothing is really simple. We're exposed to certain things more often than others, giving the illusion that they're simple. Any real thought leads us to think of the incomprehensible complexity of everything around us. Think about it: we're on a giant rock floating around in space. None of us knows how we got here or why we're continuing to exist. We can speculate, but we can't be absolutely certain. Our brains can't process the complete insanity of it all, so we force ourselves into comforting routines and do our best not to think about anything too hard. Everything is utterly amazing.

the hardest thing for me is trying to keep simple things simple. I tend to over analyze everything and complicate it.... which is ironic because i Hate drama --- and i despise chaos and complication...I love things to be simple and making usually complex tasks simple is not a problem... but keeping simple tasks simple... that's a challenge I'm still over analyzing (just as i am in the "should be" simple answer of this question... Damn * i did it again.

The hardest is not looking for the trip wire.
The simplest thing is often something we have not taken the time to look at more closely.

Believing that something can be so simple. Or maybe finding it hard to believe that someone can't understand the simple things.
Or maybe how simple things can make you feel less stressed then the complicated ones.

That they are deceptively simple. We like to complicate our lives it seems. Life should be pretty simple: love, be happy, eat when you're hungry, sleep when you're tired, be good to yourself and others. But how many of us live that way? We overeat when we're not hungry or drink or take drugs. We don't get enough sleep. We overschedule our lives and stress ourselves out. Sometimes we forget to love and be good to ourselves & others because we get caught up in insignificant, superficial things.

We need to try to simplify our lives as much as we can. Don't sweat the small stuff. Don't get so caught up in the minutiae of life that you forget what is most simple and most beautiful: love and nature.

Peace out.

:)
good to be back...

Living simply sounds easy. But what complicates it is when we go into town and see all the shiny things for sale. They can be so hard to resist.

I tend to over think, sometimes the simplest things feel like a personal affront.
