Complementary angles are angles whose sum is 90 degrees. So if the first angle is 45 degrees, its complementary angle must be 45 degrees (since they add up to 90)

thats wrong... the answer is B. 45 degrees... complementary angles always add up to 90 degrees

FYI: an angle's complement is the one that when you add them together with equal 90 degrees. an angle and its suplement will equal 180 degrees.
