Vikram Pandit was born on January 14, 1957 at Dhantoli, Nagpur. He joined morgan Stanley in 1983 and worked there for 2 decades in various capacities. He left morgan Stanley in March 2005 to start Old Lane, a hedge fund, which was bought by City Group in 2007. He has now been appoonted as CEO of city Group, which is the biggest bank in the world.
