● He is currently the second highest run scorer in ODIs with 12,207 runs. (Sachin Tendulkar is first with 15043).
● He is the only batsman in history to have four ODI scores above 150.
● Jayasuriya holds the record for the fastest 150 in an ODI innings, off 95 balls
● He is currently the second highest centurion in ODIs with 25 under his belt (second only to Tendulkar's 41).
● He is the player with the most number of 6s & 4's in ODIs
● Jayasuriya has second most Man of the Match awards in ODI cricket after Sachin Tendulkar
● He was also the first to play in 400 ODI
● He an opening batsman who can play big shots for any fast bowlers.
● Jayasuriya is known for both cuts and pulls along with his trademark shot which none of the mentioned batsman cannot play.

Jayasuriya is the best. He is better than those 2 in every aspect- batting, bowling, fielding, captaincy. He has the ability to contribute in all aspects competitively unlike afridi n symonds. Sanath is also Mr reliable frm the 3 as afridi performs well rarely and symonds is not as destructive

Sanath Jayasuriya. The other two can't come anywhere near him when he's on form. Apart from batting, he contributes a lot with bowling too, & is still one of the best fielders in SL. It's a joy to watch him play

Afridi comes definately at the bottom between thoses three, his average is so poor + hes a very inconsistent batsman, you can never rely on his batting. Bowling is OK but not that threatning.

In the case of jayasurya Vs symonds, its close competition.
In bowling jayasurya is much better than symonds, symonds looks just like any other ordinary bowler.

In batting, symonds is far more reliable than jayasurya, in terms of consistency symonds tops jayasurya. But in terms of destruction jayasurya is far ahead of symonds, if jayasurya gets going, no one could stop him and can take the game away from the opposition so early.

Jayasurya is slightly better as an allrounder.

But symonds is slightly better if only batting is concerened.

Andrew Symmonds, no doubt.

If Shahid Afridi bats consistently, then he is a better all rounder given his proven spin skills.
