I have never hit anybody unless in self defence.
However some ********** drove into the back of my motorcycle on Tuesday and knocked me off.
The driver drove off and left me in the road, if I managed to catch up with him at the time I probably would have battered him.

I rarely do get violent, but if I do, people better run away. The thing the ticks me off the most and gets me into a Raging animal mode is when someone calls me a son of a B****.

I did beat someone up when I was younger, and I felt bad about it because he was my best friend and I was really MAD when he started teasing me (for jokes). He didn't fought back and just stood there cuz he knew that I was just mad about someone else and needed to vent off.

I realized this after a couple hours and sobbed because of what I did. And the worse, the next day, he acted like it didn't happen. I FELT BAD~!!! I kept saying sorry and treat him somewhere at the mall and stuff. But he was all like " noo, it okay" So I still have the guilt..

THANKS FOR REMINDING ME~! GAAHHHH

battering someone's skull in, or to phrase it like that, is overboard...you lost your temper, and your cool..and the bad thing is, you allowed someone to get to you...you have to learn to not take to heart everything everyone says, even if they are insulting you...I get so angry at folks sometimes, but I am learning unless it is an attack on my integrity, and honesty, to try to just walk away...no use getting my own blood pressure up and have a stroke for something some idiot says or does...of course you felt bad, because you were pushed to a place that reminds you of your past somewhere, and you are now unloading it, when you couldn't before...I think we have all been there, really...all you can do is apologize, and if tell them you think it is best you don't communicate anymore,...but end it peacefully

No, never have and never have wanted to.

If someone is 'winding me up,' then Why should I want to behave ~ to retaliate ~ in such an infantile manner!

Why should I join in with their mindless game?

Is this a 'Kenwood Question' (as in the 'Kenwood food mixer') where the object is to 'stir it up and see what floats to the surface'?

I watch enough films etc to known that people behave as you've described, and I understand the 'apparent' Macho motives for such stereo-typical behaviour. However, generally speaking, those I've encountered who behave this way are usually those with a low self esteem and see the 'windup' as a challenge that they can rise to and demonstrate their Macho-Manliness ....hopefully walking away carving a notch on the handle of their metaphoric gun.

That's been my perception ...although at times I've wanted to simply say (following a deep 'groan' of exasperation), 'Oh for crying out loud, grow up and Learn'.

Sash.

If you dont want to do it, than dont...its as simple as that. I personally have those urges to "batter" some peoples heads in all the time, because they're just...well...i think you get the point...If you go to "batter" them, let them make the first move, that way its self defense.
Other than that, they're probably not worth the light of day...

Absolutely not. Battered, that is. Your guilty conscious comes rightfully so. There are plenty of better options than "battering."

My friend was "completely battered" by a habitual violent drunk. When the assailant was brought to trial, the judge, before sentencing him, said that he had noted about the accused that he had never once said he was sorry, and that would be taken into account in sentencing. (He got 4 years minimum.)
My theory about violent people is that they think they are ENTITLED to assault smaller or weaker people, and that they are only sorry FOR THEMSELVES when they get caught and punished.

Yes during a Rugby Game, prop on prop action, not clever.

No guilt for that one.

Mainly because whilst this is something we may all consider at some point, restraint is a virtue.
