drphilfan,
I find everything about Maxim appalling and I am not surprised that they would come out plain with their complete denigration of women. They have had an ounce of respect for women. They are only out to broadcast the small minority of women of what they think is hot, so that men can use them as objects of their own desire.
The media is out of control and the truth is that beauty is not found in the right curves, or how much of a woman's body she is willing to show for every disgusting individual to feed their mind on. I have no respect for that whatsoever.
Great question!

Not at all. I think that they picked the people that they picked to prove a point -- for example, Britney Spears being on the list is an indication of how badly she's screwed up her life. Same with Amy Winehouse -- she needs to live a much healthier lifestyle in order to become "sexy." Now, Sarah Jessica Parker is an interesting choice, but it also makes sense because she is a very public figure and the public is very divided in their opinion of her. I personally think that she isn't very pretty, which is ironic considering which show brought her to fame. And Madonna dresses way too disgustingly for her age, thus earning her the title.
I mean, in reality, this list is just showing women that they should treat their bodies better, should act decently in public and should actually showcase some talent along with their exhibitionism.
Look at their sexiest list -- they've chosen intelligent, genuinely talented people such as Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johanson. It's far from appalling, it's inspiring.

OK, I wasn't going to comment...but I changed my mind because there were so many diverse answers. It all comes down to this. Whether or not you care for the list, you have to keep in mind that writing a list of the "unsexiest" people is just hurtful. I mean these people get scrutinized everyday and for someone to actually say in a well-known magazine that you are not attractive can detrement a persons self-esteem (especially someone as emotionally unstable as Britney Spears). It's just wrong. They should stick to the old adage, if you don't have something good to say don't say it at all.

it's Maxim... The magazine who hires models to pose in various states of undress and calls them "columnists"
They are just as believable as World Weekly News and their never ending search for the BatBoy and his bride Nessy the Lock Ness Monster.

I agree that madonna and britney probably aren't the most attractive but there are people out there who are unsexier than them. I don't even know how sarah jessica parker even made it on there yet along as number one. Where's possibly Rosie O'Donnel and people like that?

Well, I don't know how "official" any of these list are anyway. Taking them serious is the real problem. Regardless of what they say it shouldn't change how you feel.

yeah a little... if Sarah Jessica Parker is the unsexiest person they could come up with, id say that is pretty good. i can think of many, many , unsexy men on tv. .... but there goes the double standard again.
