No one knows for certain. Although, earliest recorded history of massage is with the Chinese, 3000 BC.

No one really knows. Even most of the massage books report it inaccurately. The best book is 'The History of Massage" by Robert Calvert.

There is no real authentic data but the earliest documentation is in Vedic scriptures over 5000 B.C. As a matter of common sense it must be from the date the human beings came into existence, use of hand is natural to relieve an itch
