I tend to change avatars according to my moods and sentiments. Alike a weather vane, it allows me to keep track of how I change as I come to this website. Also my expressions are changed.
But I believe I have come to love the rainbow behind me. A sign to me of more pleasant times to come!!! Lately Life has been toward me a bit harsh. But there's always the rainbow, would you not agree?

Rainbows make me feel that I am at the portals of Hope Anew! That's why I chose it! I look at the avatar and imagine, that soon, there'll be a TRUE rainbow for me, and not behind me but afore me!!!

Oh Trev, now I can understand you never ate dog to begin with. You simply enjoy telling stories . . quite enjoyable too! But you've just reminded me . . is there a full moon tonight???
Are you speaking of the Amazonian Macau?
It is not just Amazonian you, know . . In Cuba we kept monkeys on perches with thin chains, but very long around their necks. But the screeches they made were deafening, and and they were NONE too friendly . . they'd scratch you just for the H*ll of it! However we also kept Macaus and those Brilliantly coloured long tailed parrots which from top to tip of tail could be 3 feet in length. The more colourful and long tailed the more it told of how wealthy one's family was.
These also sat on large Perches, proudly moving from side to side.
At three, which was how old I was when we came to the States, to New England, I used to pull one of their tail feathers from all the parrots neighbouring us. I pulled my own family's at the time, i would leave from Cuba.

Because these parrots never forget who's done ANYTHING to them . . so that they always watch for you, to nip you, a good, painful ONE!
And I also have a collection of feathers from these beautiful birds.
I wonder, did I see any of yours in, Mel Gibson's Apocalypto?
I refused to sell mine, even to the highest bidder, Mel himself . . being of sentimental and nostalgic nature.
I do wear them in my hair, when the Rainbow is not there.
Are you as entertaining telling BedTime stories, as well??? Grecia.

Thank you Coral, I searched and searched for what background best suited me and I found this rainbow! It felt as if I had just walked under a canopy which was alike a refuge - so that I felt it to be the appropriate shelter to stay under, from NOW, I hope, till forever! Grecia.

It reminds me of an Amazonian parrot I once ate.

I was in London UK and ran out of money whilst visiting the Zoo. I was very hungry too. I didn't know what to do.

Suddenly, I spotted the parrot sitting in a tree preening itself.
I had been a Boy Scout in a former life so I was prepared.
I took of my belt, picked up a small stone and just like David (Goliath) sling-shotted him out of a tree.

SQUARK! I'd missed, but he flew off straight into the nearby restaurant window. This stunned him and down he dropped, so I scooped him up.
He opened one eye, seemingly cautiously, and then sort of died.

The restaurant manager, who had seen the whole thing, was so impressed wih my sling-shot trick, that he plucked him for me personally, put him in the oven and told me to come back later.
When I did, I found he had arranged the bird in a beautiful display using the tail feathers to garnish to good effect. I had a wonderful meal washed down with a fine Riocha.

I still have one of the feathers today having sold the others to a company making arrows for an historic battle re-enactment group . Ahh, distant memories!

But that's all they'll be as I was shortly afterwards unfairly deported and cannot return to the country, but that's a story for another time and place...

Apocalypto - now that WAS a film.

I watched it in bed under which I keep my box of special feathers. I like to get involved in films, so I put a few in my hair. I hope I got it right.

Now, I thought you might ask about Bed Time Stories.
I can do quite a few based on creatures from the forests.
(The usual deer, rabbits, frogs, mice etc. with most of the voices too. Sometimes I do a monkey, 'cos that's my Chinese Sign. )

They get up to some pretty wild adventures, but it always turns out well. Everyone's happy, nobody gets hurt.
Then they curl up and usually go to sleep and have pleasant dreams for ever and ever.

I also do shadows - you know- you shine a light, make shapes with your hands and watch the shadows on the wall.

I can do the whole of War & Peace, the battle scenes are tricky what with the horses and things, but my experience with the creatures from the woods helps me with the sound effects there. (That's what I was doing in the zoo, researching.)

All in all, it's quite good fun I'm told.

Have you got any graceful tricks that you'd be happy to show me? You know, something that might make me shout "Yahoo! at least twice." I feel sure you have.

There's something that I've been wondering about. Was the Armadillo experience the trigger for you becoming a Buddist?
Or is that too simplistic?

My English teacher could say the style of dance represents the flair with with United play though... And the Latino passion of certain Portuguese gods who wear number 7..... Hey! I can be deep after all! I'm sooo getting into honours English now!!! ;-) Capaz De Todo xxx♥♥♥xxx
