Nothing. He probably doesn't like lol since it has become over used. The only way he would be using it differently is if he was trying to say he thought something you were telling him was a big, fat lie.

I think lol and ha mean the same thing. Some people just have a preference for one over the other, i guess. Personally i use them interchangably.

I used to say lol for Lots of Love, till I learned it meant laugh out load, so maybe he's trying to keep it real and don't want you to get the wrong idea?

LOL is 'laugh out loud' and some people find it annoying, (like me) and so say 'Ha' instead. It means exactly the same thing.

I say ha instead of lol sometimes just cuz I get sick of saying lol. Yeah its the same thing as lol just a different way of writing it. also maybe he texts ha instead of lol cuz it's quicker.

Ha is a kind of devilish laugh..so he might be having a great sense of humour...lol means simply laughing, either sentimentally or aggressively.

'Lol' (the three most irritating letters in the world) is like commanding someone to laugh. What if they don't want to?? It's a free world!!
Anyway, 'ha' is saying he found it funny, although I'd suggest you ask him before assuming anything.

I interpret "LOL" as something that is really funny to the person, and "HA" as a sarcastic laugh, like he does not find it very funny or amusing to him.

ha is a laugh. Maybe he doesn't like the acronyms, you know it's not required to say "lol" all the time. Ha, haha, hehe, tehehehe, MUAHAHAHAH

They're all laughs...
